We are co-hosting a GREAT EVENT with partners from all over California through “We Connect”. This event is targeted for underserved families in the inland empire and will take place at Rubidoux High School. The event will be held on Saturday March 2nd from 9am-4pm.
There will be on-the-spot services
·        Enrollment into Medi-Cal, CalFresh, WIC, etc.
·        Free basic Health and Dental screening)
·        Free Tax prep (appointments are available)
·        Free food baskets, and a kid zone!

The Instructional Guide for the California Preschool Curriculum Framework, Volume 2

Join us for a unique opportunity to explore ways to integrate California Department of Education publications and initiatives into your college coursework. This one-day seminar will focus on the California Preschool Curriculum Framework, Volume 2, the companion Faculty Initiative Project Instructional Guide, and opportunities for faculty to dialogue with colleagues. 

The Instructional Guide for the California Preschool Curriculum Framework, Volume 2 has been developed by and for faculty to use as a resource in supporting students as they explore the breadth and depth of the publication's content. The Instructional Guide offers guidance and instructional possibilities for weaving the content of the California Preschool Curriculum Framework, Volume 2 within and across your courses. Additionally, the Instructional Guide is indexed by topics, such as student learning outcomes and instructional methodologies, which can assist faculty in making decisions about the utilization of the California Preschool Curriculum Framework, Volume 2 for their students and programs.

24th Annual RIE Infant/Toddler Conference
The 24th Annual RIE Infant/Toddler Conference for Parents and Professionals will take place April 6, 2013 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles with keynote speaker, Deborah J. Leong, PhD. The title of the Conference is Protecting Free Play in the Earliest Years: What We Can Do." In addition to the keynote, there will be two breakout sessions with opportunities for beginning and advanced learners to deepen their understanding of Magda Gerber's Educaring Approach.   For further information about the Conference and to register, go to rie.org/conference.


VVC will be hosting a 5K run here at on campus Sunday, April 21st, 2013.  The run will begin at 8 am. Registration opens at 6:30 am. Runners/jogglers/walkers will pay $15 if they preregister and $20 the morning of the 5K. All runners will receive a t-shirt. Any proceeds will benefit a diabetes organization. We are also offering space for booths for vendors who have a health related business or product. They can come and set up a table at no cost (they would bring their own table, shade, chairs, etc. that they deem would be necessary).
